About Isle of Cinema

This is a blog about movies. Must see movies. Important movies. Spectacles. Gut wrenching genre benders. Movies that ram their celluloid fingers down your throat and grab hold of whatever’s inside of you. Not always good movies but never bad movies, because every movie discussed here was crafted with love for the medium and a desire to give back. These movies comprise the cinematic foundation upon which all future movies will be built… yet are in fact responses to those that came before them. This is a blog for the most important tribe living on This Island Earth: moviegoers, who hunter & gather cinema. But tread with caution- for here on Isle of Cinema we don’t abide litterers, hacks, pedagogues or shills, only true cinephiles.
